About Our Staff
Through experience and education, our teachers have been involved in the training of young children for over 30 years in the fields of home day care and child care centers, as well as raising their own children. Susan Elliott earned her CDA (Child Development Associate) from Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan.
Our teachers have a passion for working with young children. They are mature Christians who are dedicated to leading these young hearts to Jesus.
Curriculum
Our curriculum is Christian based, encourages independence, teaches school readiness and develops social skills. This will be done through play and activities designed for this purpose. Field trips may be taken during the year.
Children in the 4-year old program will be learning to recognize and write their names, the alphabet and numbers. There will be seasonal activities and reviews on colors and shapes. We focus on exercises that will develop good reading and writing skills.
In the 3-year old program, the children will learn to recognize their names and begin to write it, the alphabet, counting, colors, shapes and seasonal topics.
Both groups will be learning nursery rhymes and songs as well as Bible stories. There will be show-and-tell each week and many opportunities for social interaction.
